gay pride
Saturday in London was dry, in the main, and the photo opportunities were infinite but took me well out of my comfort zone. It was hard choosing just one for today
Spent the morning at Greenwich Market, took pics like amazing carved melons, then down to the Thames, where I took typical tourist shots of Tower Bridge with the Olympic rings hanging below and the London skyline complete with red buses, and less typical shots of artworks, bikes and - a first for me - I asked a young girl with a beautiful mask on if I could take her photo. later we made our way up towards Leicester Square to try and get some cheap theatre tickets and got caught up the the Gay Pride celebrations in Trafalgar Square. It was totally mobbed, but I spotted this girl in the distance, and in spite of the fact that I couldn't get a totally clear view of her, decided this was my blip for the day, taken pretty much at max zoom, as I don't often get a pic like this.
