Elizabeth Quay

After work we wandered down to Elizabeth Quay for its grand opening. We've walked past the building site fences dozens of times but today was the first time we've been able to properly see it. What a stunning space, it will be such a great addition to the city. Plenty of open spaces, interesting textures and plenty of new restaurants there or coming soon.

In this photo you can see the new bridge to the far left. The main quay in the centre and the iconic Perth CBD skyline on the right.

The quay is actually a reversal of land use. The park area that was here before the development was reclaimed from the river decades ago, now it's gone back to the river!!

This is so new that even the geotag on the blip map is currently still just the old park land.
