Plus ça change...

This is how I imagine the approach to Crunklaw would have looked in the nineteenth century. A rough track, filled with holes and cart tracks, deep muddy puddles along its length and a dry stone wall with an arch leading to stables and cattle yards.

In fact this is how it looked at 10 o'clock this morning!

Nothing much changes with the passing years around here, which is much of its charm and appeal.

I wouldn't mind the weather changing though. Sigh, yet again.
