Three........

..........in a Row

For Flower Friday. Thank you Biker Bear for hosting this challenge.

These pretty wee flowers hang in clusters on the Swan Plant – the host plant for Monarch Butterflies.

Each day for the past few days I have been releasing butterflies. These have emerged from caterpillars I rescued from the jaws of the Paper Wasps so it seemed appropriate to include this female butterfly with today’s flowers.
Male and female monarchs can be distinguished easily.
Males have a black spot on a vein on each hind wing that is not present on the female and females often look darker than males and have wider veins on their wings.
Last summer I managed to photograph a male and female butterfly together – click here to see this couple.

Reveal Day for yesterday's Abstract photo.
I loved reading all the comments for yesterday’s blip. The majority of you thought it was a red onion, however, those who thought it was red cabbage, please take a bow.  It was good fun and as always, many thanks for your stars and hearts.

 Three butterflies emerged today.
