Grouse

I went in search of Water Voles today but no joy. Not sure whether it was due to the cold wind, the high water or lots of disturbance from dogs. I went higher up to see if there was any sign of mountain hares, but again, no joy. There was no shortage of Red Grouse, but even they were a bit flighty. On the lower areas I saw a brown hare, some mistle thrushes and a kestrel, but despite the blue skies, the wind was strong and bitterly cold so again not great for wildlife photography.
