...the secret ingredient

...a beautifully sunny day.  Everyone seems so cheerful when there's sunshine to break the pattern of wet dull days.  Lots of 'good morning's and 'beautiful day!'s even from me who is usually a miserable old git.  A walk, some shopping, trombone and then preparing for this evening's meal which will be a chicken and cashew nut stir-fry.  I wanted to use sherry for the hoisin base sauce but we didn't have any so resorted to using some blackcurrant gin instead.  Results were good if a little unusual.... The photo is of some of the blackcurrant gin in a Chinese bowl.  The spoon I used had been used for cooking oil - hence the bubbles on the surface.
