HK Grasses

This was our last full day in Hong Kong and my brother in law, a resident of HK for more than 38 years, had planned a scenic walk in the New Territories after lunch - BUT - the weather beat us. The path was muddy and slippery and the temperature with wind chill felt like sub zero. There was virtually no light for photography and we gave up - wisely we discovered when we read the South China Morning Post next morning and read that more than 60 trail runners had been taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia in the coldest weather seen in Hong Kong in 6 decades.no wonder we had seen queues of people buying heaters for their houses!
