After evicting the chemist long ago, the owner put in numerous applications to turn this place into a hot-food takeaway, all refused. Meanwhile endless nerve-wracking building works went on in the back half of the building, most either without permission or not conforming to the planning permission granted.

Local authority control over planning was seriously weakened by central government last April so I predict that this refit is for a hot-food takeaway.
