Over Exertions

Despite the sister-in-laws grave misgivings we set out on the footpath which links Monterosso with Vernazza, the next village in the chain. We were promised breathtaking views, which were delivered but for most of the journey I was concentrating more on keeping my heart beating, not falling to my death and my water supply lasting.
Advice for anyone following in my footsteps - Do not attempt the 'walk' in flip flops!
