Shhh...........don't tell anyone!

A group of Haltwhistle walkers had a special away day today. We were walking in the hills near Langholm, the Muckle Toon, led by our friend HK. This view is from the Meikledale Round, a 10 + mile walk from Ewes Hall. Once you reach the ridge the walk is up and down over boggy moorland and hard work gently undulating.

The views were terrific, even when the clouds rolled over our part of the ridge. They rolled off again in less than 5 minutes. We could see stormy weather in the west but it never reached us.

This part of the country is little walked but I don't think the locals want too many people to know how beautiful it is.
