M1 motorway Junction 19

Today was a duty day as it was the birthday of wife’s mother. So we travelled north to take mother-in-law and her sister out for lunch. Over the last couple of years we have always been delayed joining the M1 from the A14. Today it was different as part of the new system is in operation. The A14 traffic is split with M1 traffic going over a fly-over and the M6 traffic still going below the M1 to get to the M6. Today’s blip shows the separation of the A14 traffic and the fly-over for M1 traffic going north and the M6 traffic continuing on the old route.
