'Kitty-in-Boots'

Shocking weather today...gales and torrential rain.....so this morning was Line dancing and this afternoon...the flicks.. I went to see 'Room' starring Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay. What can I say...a unique film telling a powerful story of the love between a mother and her five year old boy. It's a very thought provoking film..the acting was sensational. Original and very moving.

My Blip refers to some wonderful news today. A Beatrix Potter story 'Kitty-in-Boots' has been discovered after 100 years. Discovered by publisher Jo Hanks, after she found a reference to it in an out-of-print biography. Quentin Blake has illustrated the story, to be published in September. Beatrix Potter had only completed a single drawing to go with the manuscript. I have cherished my Beatrix Potter book for many adult years...I love the beautiful watercolour illustrations. Looking forward to this new book!
