Cabbage

An afternoon at the allotment.  The first turning over of soil is always delightful.  The rhubarb is pushing through, the streak of pink stem the first true colour of the year.

The cabbages have survived, as have the leeks and kale.  Cabbages amaze me, all the varieties, leaf textures and colour so vibrant it almost sings.

An omelette, with fresh organic eggs and plenty of leeks and cheese accompanied by stir fried kale, bacon and cabbage. Yum.

Never mind loosing yourself in a creme egg, I love to loose myself in a cabbage, but then I'm slightly odd.
