A Good Day for Fungi

The wind and rain started at about 5am and that was it for the day. Two wet and wild walks with Jess (she cares not what the weather does) and in the woods I spotted some branches which the gales had brought down, covered in fungus. Why it is called "Jews'-Ear Fungus", I don't know... Anyway, they are supposed to be edible...
