Needing a bedroom lamp, searched through local charity shops, nothing, then remembered a brilliant little junk shop and found this old thing for a fiver!! needs rewiring etc and have got the new 'bits' to do it with. small red lampshade from charity shop - might work.  have polished with Brasso but not much improved. maybe its not brass.  Still, am very pleased with it.
