Auld Aquaintances

To have much loved auld acquaintances that have never been forgotten, to make re-acquaintances of long lost friends and family, isn't that the stuff of happiness.
And as for the long gone acquaintances that left us cold, never say never.

Back to the here and now and listening to Radio Scotland today it transpires that Michael Jackson was obsessed with Scotland's bard. Thriller was inspired by Tam O Shanter and the boy who never grew up also wanted to make a musical of Burns' works. I'm very relieved he didn't.
