Outside looking in
To Narbonne for yoga class today. Afterwards I had 20 minutes or so to find a blip before heading to Carcassonne for choir practice. So I walked into town ... it is so dead in the evening at this time of year, especially on a wet Monday night. Cafes and shops had closed and most restaurants weren't yet open. I stood for ten minutes in the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, tripod at the ready, waiting for passers-by to liven up the scene ... it didn't happen.
Still, even if it's deserted, this place looks cosy and welcoming (and very French), so it will do for my blip today. Choir practice: the death of Ophelia as interpreted by Berlioz. Then back home in thick fog -- something I am no longer used to.
Oh, and just in case you missed it (unlikely!): great news from the Gang of Four! I am thrilled: this is a wonderful opportunity to relaunch Blipfoto in a sustainable, community-driven way.
