Wash day blues...

An exhibition at Stockport's Vintage Market (2nd Sunday in the month) made me realise how easy we have it today!
Hands up if you remember dolly blue, dolly tubs, possers and mangles.
My first washing machine had an electric mangle but that was still hard work.
It was called "wash day" because it took all day.
My mum got her first automatic washer and passed her Servis twin tub on to me - luxury.
Ha ha.
