San Giorgio Maggiore

Having had the most fabulous day with Draco and her MIL touring and soaking up Venice we wended our way home to our respective hotels on the water buses. 

This was a last minute decision to have a final photographic splurge on the terrace rooftop of our hotel before hitting the sack. I just couldn't resist getting the view here at night. This is San Giorgio Maggiore, a tiny island just across the lagoon from St Mark's Square with a church of the same name and Benedictine monastery.
