Facelift

or more accurately safety measures, for a favourite ruin, St Mary's, Appleton, a small farming settlement near Sandringham.  We don't want masonry falling onto any visitors.

On the subject of hazards an electric fence (to deter cattle) is behind the ruin, a foot or so beyond the perimeter fence of the church grounds,  and some months ago grandchildren ran in ahead of me and reached through to discover the sensation of electric current.
