Dejeuner sur l'herbe

Today was a lovely day. It was the day that the those in the family who can, travel to the beautiful Lathkill dale in the Peak District, to my daughter's commemorative bench which we managed to get sited in this beauty spot six years ago. We have an annual meal and picnic as a way of celebrating her life. We met for lunch at the Lathkil Hotel, witnessed a welldressing being prepared, walked down through the fields to the river and then had a picnic. The picnic reminded me of the famous painting but CMI was not prepared to take her clothes of the make the parallel more obvious! It was also a blip meet as for the first time in several years the four brothers and sisters, Transmanche CMI, RJS and Tickytocky, were reunited from France, Australia and the UK.
