Dinner time
Interior of one of Cairo's most famous koshary restaurants, Abou Tarek. As one of my students described it - koshary is a carb bomb - pasta, chickpeas and a sprinkling of tiny lentils, all topped with a spicy tomato sauce and crispy fried onions. It's actually really yummy and so cheap. 10 Le or 1gbp for a big plate. It all looks more grand than it really is - typical faded grandeur.
