The Canal

This morning I went for another walk along the canal, with bright skies. In all I walked 5.5km, not a vast distance, but I have to be mindful of getting back in time to collect my son. 

This is part of the recently developed section along the canal, all nice flats and townhouses. Except during the floods - which rose above the level of the footbridge. This part was Navigation Wharfe, where boats would come in to unload for the factories and depot's. Most of the year it would be an ideal place to live - very calm and peaceful, and the bridge does look great in reflections.
