Blissed out

Today was the day when our little family got together. Tsuken and his family are with us for two weeks at the Beachhouse. Daughters J and C drove up (C with Mr H and Young L). Both were unfortunately caught in bad traffic; J because of the Saturday morning traffic to the Matakana Market or for a weekend out of the city, while C had that plus the aftermath of "an incident" on the road blocking/delaying traffic.

Instead of lunch we had an early afternoon tea, with an exchange of presents. After that J, Tsuken, C, the four grandchildren and I went down the steps to the beach for a swim. The tide was coming in, and because of the hot sun, the water was the warmest I have experienced for some years. Even Young L and I didn't get cold.

At one point Mr H lay on his back in the surface warmth supporting himself with his boogie board.

This evening we had a wonderful family meal together, and now we are trying to sort out a bed for each adult and child, and manage the expectations of all.
