Mother and child

While the tourists at Marahau were busy learning what to do in a kayak the oystercatchers just pottled along doing what they always do. There were a group of four- two adults and two juveniles. They may have been all from the same family. These two show clearly the changes taking place in the juvenile at the front. Eye, beak, feather and leg colour all changing. It was still sticking very close to Mum so not quite ready to leave home.
Extra are kayaks lined up waiting for customers. There wasn't a shortage of either that's for sure.
