"To roost"

The birds must have gone to roost early today due to "Jonas". The day started out nice (see extra) but you know what they say "Red sky in morning, sailors take warning." The brunt of the storm has not hit us yet but it has left much destruction in its path so I hear.
I roasted a turkey mostly to warm up the kitchen but it had a funny smell and I tossed the whole bird. I hope it wasn't just nerves since my husband could not taste or smell anything. Looking forward to Sunday and bidding "Jonas" good-bye!
