Freaky Friday Fungi

The least shy and retiring fungi I've ever seen. Came across it from way off walking the hound of the incessant barkervilles up the hill after work. And maybe it's because I am annoyingly slightly frazzled health wise again this Friday, but i enjoyed eyeing it suspiciously for longer than necessary, but I was none the wiser. So bottom line is, what on earth is this zesty petticoated wonder and why is its colouring so different to the world about it?
