What a day

It's been a day - everything happens at once with kind of the worst timing.  But it's been a good day.

Our poor boy had a very sleepless night, which of course means that his mother did as well.  I did the 12 - 5am shift.  We had suggested a very early morning drive and coffee watching the sunrise to my parents... clearly, this didn't happen. Instead, I was covered in milk as his early morning milk made a repeat appearance.  Second lot of sheets in the wash in less than 12 hours.

About the same time, I checked Facebook as I think all mothers seem to do when feeding their babies... the project I've been working on for months has received support from a very influential political commentator and my email was full of people wanting to donate money to support our school feeding project.  It would be hard to wake up to better news - but of course dealing with that and a sickly baby isn't ideal.  So the day has been spent at the doctors, in a meeting discussing the project and desperately answering emails from people wanting to give money.

All this, on the second day of the parents visiting.  As I say, it's been a day, but a fantastic day as we finally have support for our project.  Could the timing have been worse, possibly not, but there never would be a good time.
