River Tyne at Corbridge

A quick jaunt to the river late afternoon as the sun was sinking in the sky. The milder day made me imagine a hint of spring in the air.  Wishful thinking perhaps!  

In the summer months when the river level is low it is possible to walk out to the island.  At the time of the severe flooding in December only the very tops of the trees could be seen above the water level.
