Today I gave youngest a lesson in how to sort out her laundry into darks, coloureds and whites. This was in preparation for her going off to uni in the Autumn.

Her second lesson was a lesson in making spag bol.

She used a new notebook and in her neatest handwriting, wrote down all the steps. She declined the chance to actually do the cooking, opting instead to make observational notes.

We then had a discussion about to spell spag Bol in full. Spaghetti was ok, but is it bolognese or bolognaise? Both come up in Google.

The pasta sauce jar I used spelt it bolognese.

And in other exciting news, we are still munching our way through mince pies. Had two today....

....nearly all gone.
