The red gate

Well didn't it just pour down here from around 9pm last night until after lunch today, when it finally stopped. There is so much standing water around again, hope it soaks away more quickly than last time!

Ive spent this morning sat at the laptop sorting filing deleting images, sending emails etc. a bit tedious, but needs must!

We had already decided that we would get out for a walk this afternoon, weather permitting, which it was :-)

We walked a circular route, saw plenty of water logged fields! However the sun shone and it was pleasantly mild, compared to the last few days.

This red gate always catches my eye, but today particularly, as the late afternoon sun shone on it. It always makes me smile, as the gate is standalone, not a fence in sight, either side of it, so not sure what purpose it really serves, other than making my blip a little brighter that is ;-)
