Shaldon Ferry

Lots going on today and it was pis persisting down with rain in the morning but it did clear and I was able to get out and repair the side gate which had been blown to bits in the storms. I'm not great at these DIY things but I managed to get it back together and rehung. Sadly, there's a low wall with a raised flower bed which is falling down and it's pushing the gate post out, so the repaired gate still won't shut. Oh well, I'll need to think about this one. Bricks, mortar, building. Hmm?

In the afternoon, it was looking good out there so I headed into Teignmouth and walked down Back Beach. The sun was a bit too bright to the west, as it started to sink, so a longer shot was called for. The little black and white boat that's painted up to look a bit like a mini HMS Victory, is the ferry coming in from Shaldon.
