I see the light...and how to change it!

I'm a week behind on the Emma Davies photo course, and this is my 'black on black' image where I've tested out exposure compensation.  I found it very useful in understanding how to use this facility on my camera,
...although it makes for a rather uninteresting blip entry.  The extra is my carved pintail, which is actually dark brown but is eminently suitable for the test too.
This week's lesson on depth of field will enable a far more interesting blip I think.
