Went into Hamburg for a haircut this morning.  The lake is almost frozen over.  I have got the knack of keeping warm now though - three pairs of lambswool socks, leggings x2, leg warmers, jeans... and thats just the legs!  
I have a wonderfully long, heavy, tightly knit wool scarf and it is worth its weight in gold.  And then the layers of wrist warmers... vests, under tops, thick fleece, padded gilet, winter coat... two hoods (from fleece and coat)...  And don't forget the gloves - wool and fleece - layered of course... 
Anyway, as I always say this time of year - roll on spring!
