Lily (portrait?)

I've back blipped Friday and Saturday.

We have some absolutely splendid Lily's at home at the moment: they are enormous and have opened out into great reaching funnels that look like they're stretching before some athletic feat.
I decided to HDR them: this a composite of 5 shots, and I'm rather pleased with the look of it. I'm really enjoying playing with HDR technique: it's early days, but I like the way it allows the photos to have a level of contrast and detail more reminiscent of the way our eyes (well, our eyes teamed up with our visual cortices) perceive the world than the way camera sensors do... Obviously the narrow depth of field rather spoils that particular effect here...
