It's Called Love

I have a mix tape; not this one; this isn't real: my mix tape comes from BFBS ( if you know what that is you just sung it).

It was made in 1988; I had been without Himself for 2 months and his birthday was coming up. Families always got request forms and I had duly filled mine in and sent it off. hImself was the only one on board his ship who had a request played that weekend, so he got to keep the tape which he sent home to me.

I listened to it so often; as i drove to and from work, that even today i could probably recite the whole play list; phil collins, rod stewart, yazz and the plastic population and my choice, Aztec Camera.

Hearing any of those songs takes me back to the drive to pick him up another two months on... The nerves, the longing, the tears streaming down my face.

Yip, that's a precious wee bit of plastic.
