A strange sight!

Walking round Maxwell Park, before the rain came on and before the fingers on my right hand nearly dropped off with cold I spotted this odd patch of colour in the pond.  Much of the water still had a thin covering of ice but this was in a bit of open water.  The orange 'stuff!' was pouring in from under the path to gather under surface of the water..... a mystery to me!
