It's All Going On

Nipped into Durham yesterday - wanted to do some sketching of the colmuns in the cathedral for an idea to do with the St Mary's project. This is a phone grab from the car park. You're seeing a tree that has been hauled out of the river. Been sawn up ready for disposal. A diver emerging from the river (at the end of the line) who was helping clear the debris brought down from up river by the recent storms. And on the bridge - a painter - he calls himself the Limner - he has a website if you can be bothered - set himself the task of painting outdoors every day. I chatted with his mast year when he was in Seaham. Smashing bloke - very competent painter too. Seem to remember his name is John Hall.
I did get some sketching done - and also happened to 'fall' into East where there was a 70% off sale on.
Yes I did succumb.
