Opposite the library

In the middle of Ranui, in the west of Auckland City, is a major intersection, with the only traffic lights in the whole of Ranui. On one corner of this intersection is a newish public library building; I have posted a photo of that as one of today's extras.

Diagonally opposite is an area known as the Ranui Community Corner. There are gardens, open grassed areas, and seats. There are also two electronics boxes, which have been decorated. The one reflecting the community corner is my second extra for today.

My blip shows a small sample of the books which can be borrowed through the Ranui public library. Daughter C has taken Mr H and Young L there and all three have enjoyed the surroundings.

After working a half day at the the Community Team this morning, I drove to meet up with the family at daughter C's new house just a bit further west than where I stopped to take these three photos.

Now up at the Beachhouse, waiting for Tsuken and Mrs T to arrive. We had brought the grandchildren with us, as Tsuken went to a training session with his old Karate teacher. He has let us know that he had a really fantastic time in the class.
