Vancouver Island

Yesterday we made our way to Vancouver Island! We had no idea it was such a journey from downtown - after a 1.5hr bus and train we caught the ferry (which is a massive boat more like a cruise ship) for another 1.5 hrs and then once on the island another 1 hour bus ride to downtown Victoria!! That being pretty much our day, we found a cool pub and had dinner and drinks, as it's dark at 5pm here there isn't much else to do!

Today we walked around town and the beautiful boat harbour. We also visited the museum which had an awesome exhibit on nature photography. With the miserable weather we finished off the day at the movies watching The Big Short. A great and interesting movie.

As beautiful as Vancouver and Vancouver Island are, I think summer is definitely a better time to visit and explore these beautiful cities outdoors.
