The little egret

As i was crossing the footbridge over the River Cray in St Mary Cray, I saw a little white egret. Sometimes this stretch of the river is littered with abandoned supermarket trolleys and pushchairs but today the water was clear of any detritus and the banks were lush and green. On my return Little Egret had ben joined by a pair of mallards.

A little rural idyll in a built up area next to a shopping centre.
