Garages and a Church in Rishton.

Thankful for this dry, sunny Wednesday.
Mortified to hear magpies attacking one of their own.
Went up to the magpie to check the outcome.
One Magpie suffering with wings trapped in mud. A look no one would feel happy in.
Verbally urged the trapped magpie to free his/herself to fly freely.
The other magpies had gone away, and were within Rishton. not sure where. Why they acted cruelly only they know fully.
Clearly in shock, the magpie looked kindly at me, and found courage to right his/her magpie position and jump/hop away.
The magpie as a bird symbol is a detective, I hope that makes sense.
My sense of wonder from the freedom and non death of the dear magpie, who I wished not to photo and intrude into the natural path of, remains in my memory and prayers.
I walked away and eventually returned home after a good walk.
