16:00 in Lagos

Well, I have been at work since 07:00 and I am stuck in the usual traffice back home.

Been here for 30 minutes up to now. The only reason for these backlogs are rather large pot holes and puddles. The Nigerians hate puddles and I have learned to respect puddles greatly.

The reason is that the road was there yesterday, down comes the rain and washes away the previous repair (not very well done repair). Therefore, you are never sure if the road is flat under the puddle or there is a 2 foot pot hole.

You therefore have to drive round the puddles which results in these tail backs.

Finished work at 15:30, got home at 17:05. Not bad going for only 7km.
