Not for Five Years...

... Has Miss 6 gone near a dog - of any sort or nature, for any reason. Not since at 11 months of age, we went into a music shop wherein there was a yappy aggressive little rat-dog, which charged at her. Poor thing was utterly terrified, and ever since, has given any canine entity a very wide berth.

Today we went to the park while mrs tsuken was at the gym. As we were walking along the path, a woman walking a dog walked up. I don't really know why, but missy-moo didn't scarper. Sure, the owner said the dog was friendly and loves kids, but hearing that hasn't been reassuring enough for her before. Whatever the reason, missy went up almost immediately, squatted down, reached out and patted it. Happily, the dog was indeed friendly, and very good with the kids (not even excitedly nuzzling or jumping), so there were no shocks, and it all went beautifully.

I was really pleased (not that we have the slightest intention of ever getting a dog, but her anxiety was getting a bit much at this point) - and so, it appeared, was Miss 6, which was really nice to see. 8)

Briefly bumped into bigred1977 at a nearby shopping centre today while provisioning.

Giving my calves a little rest today, after yesterday's 6.7 km (not 7.5; Runmeter got confused somewhere - I really don't think I ran a 1:44 km...). I've got Monday and Tuesday off work, so will get at least another run in before I'm back to work. 8)
