~At The Days End~

~A Burst Seedpod~

I started shooting for my Blip of the day very early this morning, and as often happens, the last visual of the day was the one. I saw this Saguaro cactus as I was hiking in the foothills of the Tortolitas this evening, as the last rays of light were lighting my path home.
I looked up from my footfalls and that voice in my head screamed, "That's it, that's it, you fool, you will never see that light again!"

Click! Click! Click?

I question my artist eye sometimes, actually a lot, when I photograph and pre-visualize a scene such as this! Am I doing this the way it needs to be done, am I being too minimalist, should I include more of the surrounding area, or should I get even closer? I guess that in the end, no matter what the final outcome, the image is the image! It's the one I ended up with, so it must be the best I can do. To bring what I saw in my minds eye, when I first perceived the vision of this image, the emotions and feelings. To show it to those who will look at it, and say "Thats what he wanted us to see!"

Glad I listed to myself, that head voice,
though it's not often the right advise,
this time it was correct I do believe.
