Jesus wept

Classic university professor in traditional garb/college scene. There are lots of bookish people scuttling around Cambridge at all times of the day.

A friend took me into the grounds of Jesus College today after dark. I probably would have been ejected forcefully if it had been apparent there was riff raff padding across the gravel. Apparently you can be violently removed for such misdemeanours as wheeling a bike through the grounds.

It was all very Da Vinci Code in the cloisters with various shadowy figures and feeezing temperatures. Extremely tempting to engage in acts of rebellion including stepping on the grass (juniors are warned that only senior members are allowed to step on the grass during Michaelmas and Lent terms (translation: Autumn and Easter)).
