I was invited to a reception at the Scottish Parliament tonight to celebrate the 250th anniversary of James Watt's conception of the separate condensing steam engine. The start of the industrial revolution. This was the best I could do of the beautiful building as it was dark, raining, busy with traffic and I only had my phone.
