Looking For George

After various chores and desk work at home today I decided to leave for our walk slightly earlier today to try and get more of the sunset.  It was a sunnier but much colder day again today.  Some of the frost stayed on the ground all day and the mud was frozen - much easier for walking!

We headed down to Sonning-on-Thames and walked through the churchyard and then along the river past the lock. There were no boats going up and down the river today but we did see a couple of narrowboats that seem to be moored there permanently.

This time of year with no leaves on the trees it's easy to get a good look at Maison de Clooney (see Extra photo) but he didn't seem to be hanging around along the river. Does he not know how beneficial a winter's afternoon walk would be?  Apparently he's recently been seen at the local Kebab Van.  Hmm...I just suddenly feel very hungry!
