Papyrus

I bought this hand painted papyrus depicting the Gods, Goddesses and Kings of Egypt a few years ago with the intention of framing and hanging it. Hmmm... one of the many items re-discovered in the bedroom clean out, and one of the few items to escape the black bags.

4 x rubbish, 2 x cardboard for recycling, 1 x clothes and 3 x suits for the charity shops. Yep, the mega clearout got underway today. Although there are no cupboards in the room (apart from my chest of drawers and wardrobe) I think this will probably be the room to yield the most... crap. Went though the wardrobe and am left with absolutely nothing but my old footie top (which is being kept) left hanging in it. I found a suit, a pair of work trousers and a casual shirt hanging in there with the labels still on them, unused. All too big now (thankfully). Tomorrow I'll tackle the chest of drawers. Perhaps I might be able to put away some of the new clothes that I've been forced to buy over the past few months now! ;- )

Shame of the magazine pile! I checked the dates on the pile beside the bed. Earliest was the April 2005 edition of Empire! Eeeek! :- )) They have now joined the others in my recycling box and will take them down to the paper bins tomorrow.

So, a good start to the flat gutting. An early start tomorrow should see the bedroom finished and hopefully a trip down to the recycling centre will clear out my old stereo, amp and speakers then I'll begin to tackle the hall. This is where the majority of the cupboard space is and should be the last of the big volume bin bags! ;- ))

Might even be able to fit in a little tennis watching through the day! C'mon Andy!

Sorry I haven't been around much and I've been struggling to keep up with you. Hopefully I'll be able to spend a little more time online next week, although I have the dreaded wedding shoot to look though. My sister has already been on the phone asking about the pictures.
