Invited by the Chef

We were invited to a delicious meal at the chef''s home! The experience was not only a treat, the meal was delicious.

Chef Scott and his wife Peg have been special friends for years. Graduating from culinary school is one of his most recent adventures. Scott also is a small business owner: "ScotnCo" is the name of his pool maintenance service. He has been an expert at pool care for years. He is also the organizer and overseer of an Open Mic Night every Tuesday evening at Java Joe's in Yorba Linda. He often sails a small private boat from Newport Harbor just for pleasure, and the past three years while his wife has been earning her Ph.D. at USC, Scott has read 300 books. I think he has earned his own Ph.D.

Also included in this evening were Justin and Amanda, Scott & Peg's son and daughter-in-law who live near Houston. We haven't seen them in at least a year so it was fun to catch-up on their news and happenings.

We ate dinner on the outdoor upstairs deck and enjoyed the summer air. At 9:30 we could hear the fireworks from Disneyland and if it were not for several tall trees we could also see them.

Friends, food, and fun made for a quality evening.
